HIGH PERFORMANCE NANOSTRUCTURED PRODUCTS
LUBRICATION AND NANOPARTICLES: THE BIRTH OF R20
As we well know, the mechanical parts inside an engine
generate defined sliding friction. The use of lubricating oil has the
aim of reducing this friction, wear of the parts and lowering
temperatures thanks to the formation of the so-called third body.
By mixing the nanoparticles with the lubricating oil, it
obtains the ability to transform this sliding friction into rolling
friction, i.e. the nanoparticles play the role of microspheres of a
hypothetical bearing which, combined with the self-repair capacity (the
nanoparticles insinuate themselves into the grooves and microcracks,
making the smoother contact surfaces) and a polishing action (polishing
of the surfaces where the nanoparticles come into contact) results in a
notable reduction in friction compared to the exclusive use of
lubricating oil.
Nanoparticles
are excellent heat carriers (capacity to accumulate and transport
heat), bringing greater heat exchange and heat dissipation to the
lubricating oil, resulting in a lowering of operating temperatures,
slowing down the natural deterioration of the lubricant.
Another
peculiar advantage of nanoparticles is that of being inert, i.e. they
do not cause damage to metal surfaces and engine gaskets, even in the
long term, differentiating themselves from other Chloroparaffin-based
additives which, decaying in particular conditions of use, determine the
formation of hydrochloric acid. The use of nanoparticles inside the
lubricant, unlike what it may seem, does not alter its viscosity and
prevents any type of clogging of the passages or the oil filter.
SHS
wanted to enclose all the revolutionary potential of nanotechnology in a
single product, a concentrated nanotechnological oil to be mixed in
percentage quantities of lubricating oil present in the various types
and displacements of engines, guaranteeing all the intrinsic
characteristics that nanoparticles bring to the field of lubrication.
R20
was born with the desire to offer a product that provides concrete
support to problems due to engine overheating due to seasonality (summer
temperatures) and the considerable stress of the engine from daily and
continuous use (buses, trucks, agricultural vehicles, bulldozers etc…).
In
lower percentage doses it can also be used in transmission organs such
as gearboxes or differential cells obtaining the same benefits listed
above. In conclusion, with this product SHS wants to remain faithful to
its mission, to provide innovative products that protect your vehicles,
giving them a better quality of life and reliability.
